happiness (for when you have none).
Beloved,
Thank you for choosing today. Thank you for believing once more, that you are worthy of another sunrise. Thank you for finding the courage within you to take heart once more, at the prospective hope of occupying a space better than where you currently inhabit. I know your heart is heavy and tired from holding its weight in grief, but I remind you today, that your resilience knows no bounds. In your stretch you are being made anew. You are becoming, in the fullness of His light, so hold steadfast to His love, and let His anchor be your guide.
Your story is only just beginning, and this is but the preamble, a preparation towards the spaces that you will come to occupy within the moments and people to come. You may not be able to celebrate the season as you wish or want to, so don’t press yourself to do so. Come alive in the knowledge that the greatest lesson you will learn through this wrestle, is that joy lives and grows within you. In the days and months to come, there will be people and stories that owe themselves to you; spaces of dark, that will fill with the light you currently struggle to keep alight. Hold on unswervingly to His hope, for you are redefining to yourself within this moment the courage to love and be loved.
Beloved,
You will look back on this moment, and remind yourself of the peace that transformed itself through the anxiety of the season. Do not let yourself be swayed by what is to come, for there is a time and place for every season; a start, a middle, and an end to every journey. You know all too well within you, that your hardest wrestles bring out the very best of your heart. Your joy today is your most resilient courage and determination to keep that light within you alive. You are doing more than enough to get by.
While it may not seem like it today, remind yourself that you are unequivocally worth fighting for, and that the day is coming soon, for when you will learn to believe again, hope again, dream again, love again. Prepare for yourself the stories you wish to tell once more, and anticipate with expectation the life you want to live. Hold on unswervingly to His hope, and never forget how much you were created in the fullness of His agape love. The best is still yet to come, and there is more within yourself than you can ever hope to imagine.
